Okay folks, Its been a long time coming but its finally on its way! Our debut 7" single is in the plant as I type and we should be expecting it in a couple weeks. This 7" features two tracks from our demo recording we did a few months back. It is a limited one time pressing of 200 pieces with hand screened packaging. But for the wait, we offer the recording in its 4-song entirety as a free download (on your right) to suffice your listening pleasure. We also have awesome shows coming up that we got added on. You can see them in our "shows" section. A couple of them with this awesome group Pianos Become the Teeth. Check them out and pick up their record. So if you download the demo, and you like what you hear, then pick up the record, cause like I said before, there is only 200 made. And once they're gone. It is most likely not going to get repressed, ever. That's all for now. 03/29/10 Well the last batch of shows were a blast to say the least. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and especially who came out in support of the Munoz family for the Set it Straight reunion show in Redding, CA. 02/07/10 And the first signs of light are actually showing now. We should be getting back our mixed recording in the coming week. It will be available for free download, then shortly after will be released on an 7" format on Glory Kid ltd. Thanks to everyone that came out to see us last night at the show. Big thanks to Ramy for setting that up for us. And an apology goes out to you as well, for me showing up so late that I literally walked in on our set. The show overall was fun, but we still have first show(even though its our third) gitters and had a few mess up's(on one account me blanking out on a speech I was giving mid-way, ehh). But these are things that will and are getting sorted out. We are just so excited that our friends and kids that we do not know yet are excited about this project as much as we are. So please bare with us while we try our best to get this first release out to you. In the meanwhile keep checking back for more updates. I should be posting more writings in the "writings" section of the site this week. Kevan and I are in the mist of getting our articles ready for the insert of our debut record but are working diligently on writings for here as well. Also, there are some new shows posted in the "shows" sections, please feel free to check that out and see about attending some of them. That is all for now. In case you have not noticed. The look for the site has changed. Duh. 01/08/10 Well its a new year and a lot of new venture to be had for the AS outfit. Tour plans are in the works for the early to mid year. The EP recordings we completed in the last two weeks and should be in our hands pretty soon. We will make it available for free download when it comes to be. There will soon be a vinyl version of the first recording to surface in the months to come. It will be a limited press of 200. So make sure to keep checking back for more updates about that. We are already working hard on writing newer material for another release. But that's another story for another day. So in the meanwhile check the "shows" section for we had a couple dates added to that section. We will soon be adding pictures from the recording sessions up in the "media" section later next week. Our objective in this project is to push the conventional assumptions of what punk rock has become. Rather than embracing the stagnancy of modern bands wishing to be the next hot flash in the pan, we reject such hopes. What becomes of this experiment is to be seen. Would I speak so boldly if it wasn’t my throat within their hands? I can only hope I would find the strength to do so. To look past the beaten path to roads unseen. The ones waiting to be paved. Past the paths to the center of Cádiz, and straight into the belly of the beast. Whether in the throws of turmoil or the simmers of “progress”, the letters from Venona must be deciphered. As foreign as they may seem, the feeling can be felt on every grain of soil. A feeling that should never be ignored. -Kevan Aguilar, November 18th, 2009 "Stingy Brim" Sometimes I feel as if I let my comrades dictate what my personal opinions are on aspects. Sometimes I can only feel that my comrades are the cold dirty streets, the wet Grey street lamps, the tired one story motel with the vagrants guarding its face. How can I feel so alone in a world giftwrapped in apathy. Why must I feel so mundane like a star studded wash up that has been featured in a redhouse film in a one horse town? This night will consume my good nature. This night will smile with cigarette smoke seeping through its sorry teeth, looking down at me with searing hawk eyes. Sharp as a tack and with grit it waits for a rise. But this hard soul has seen too much and been bruised in too many one sided brawls to feel anything anymore. So as he breathes his harsh winds into my face, reeking of cold and nicotine. I will turn my back to him. And continue to trudge onwards down that lonesome, wet asphalt. Yeah, this night is cold. But its all that I will ever know. For in my life, when the love has come and gone. Where the familar face will age and fade. This dence, Blackened over street remains for me to nurse on. And when it is my end, I will be kissed by the night one last time, and that ever consulting avenue will be paved over me like everyone else. Can you hear that dusk rousing saxaphone playing just for me? Goodnight ever embracing night. You have done so much to mold a hardened city slicker. And for that I will forever be in debt to the city lights. -Andrew Gomez IV, May 23rd, 2009 "White Door" Resting young but intolerant bones wayside of a window seal, I can see a solitude that can only reach me through this kind of frame. Grey blankets the scene that surrounds my picture and I am left with a plush feeling of calm. Feeling my infant back being caressed by motherly acrylics. Swirling over indentations and imperfections of a future laying on its side. What will become of these hours left to soak in a unrelenting pour? Commute moves parallel to the constant tapping of a storm dancing on impatient concrete that is soar. Everyone is frantic, everyone is everything reflecting my good nature at ransom. This rain, this rain was supposed to wash away my insecurities, but with every drop is a blunt pounding reminder on this "decent" soul.
